Introduction

Hagos Tesfay Medhin (PhD) is an Assistant Professor at the Nuclear Medicine Unit of the Department of Hematology, Oncology and Nuclear Medicine College of Health Sciences, Addis Ababa University. Hailing from Adwa, Tigrai, Ethiopia, he completed his PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Addis Ababa University in 2015.

Before embarking on his academic journey, Dr. Medhin contributed to community development as a painter for the Forestry office in Adwa, creating visuals to promote tree planting. His early life was rich with creative pursuits, including painting, playing music, and engaging in peer leadership.

With extensive experience in teaching, research, and administration, Dr. Hagos has served as a high school teacher, lecturer, and assistant professor. He has guided numerous M.Sc. students, PhD candidates, and Nuclear Medicine Residents. His leadership roles include College Dean, Registrar, Dean of Students (2011-2013), and Coordinator of Undergraduate Programs (2015-2016) at the College of Health Sciences. He also served as a Senior Advisor to the State Minister of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
